Recommendations Voer-region
How lovely that you’ve booked a break in the Voer-region. A beautiful area to find a little peace and quiet, go walking or cycling, or enjoy the local cuisine.
Below we have a number of recommendations for fun activities, fine restaurants and sights.

Lots of fun!
Traditional syrup making
You will find the centuries-old farm of the Wiertz family bordering the Medieval Commandery. As well as keeping dairy cows, the farm also makes traditional syrup from Voeren ('Voerstroop'). A genuine artisan product, of which the recipe has been passed down from generation to generation. Throughout the year, the farm shop is open almost every day from 11 am to 5 pm (except for public holidays). Besides their syrup, you can also buy other regional produce here, such as apple juice, beer and honey. The syrup distillery is open for visitors (from the end of September) so that you can see the syrup production process with your own eyes and, of course, sample it.
Regional market
Don't forget to visit Aubel's regional market as well. Every Tuesday and Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm at only 4.5 km from Mille Fleurs.
The Sunday morning is the best time to discover the variety of local products in a charming atmosphere.
Market Aubel, Place Nicolaï, 4880 Aubel
E-bikes
If you’d like to discover the Voer-region by e-bike, you can head to 'Hostellerie de Cantarel' to hire e-bikes. You can park your car safely there. From 2 days rental, the bikes can be delivered and picked up on site by Jordy. He will help you find your way around too, with 7 outlined routes, a cycling map, guided rides and much more.
